Pin Protect Payment
I have an elderly aunt that will randomly click buttons on the remote. On a Roku for example, she unknowingly subscribed to channels, ordered movies, etc before I was able to Pin protect anything that required payment. She installed over 150 apps before I was able to lock that down.
I have a new gemini box, but don't see an option to do that. I don't want to let my aunt loose on it until I can lock down anything that requires payment. For example, in the channel guide, premium channels allow you to subscribe with basically 2 clicks of the button.
Is there a way to prevent payment with a Pin, Password or other setting?
Is there a way to stop someone from adding apps? Will the gemini still fully function (including the talk button) if I sign out of the Google account?

Hi, we want you to have the protection you need for your devices.
You can lock the system with Parental Control, so no one can purchase Pay-Per-View movies and Premium Channels, follow the next link: https://www.directv.com/support/article/000093537
Here are some steps to help you set Parental Control:
-Press the Overflow button […] on the remote.
-Arrow over to “Parental.”
-Select “Lock Now” and press OK.
-Press OK.
-Enter the passcode twice.
Currently, we do not have a feature to lock down third-party apps. I'm getting this information to our specialized department and consider it for future updates. DIRECTV appreciates your feedback.

@DIRECTVhelp - If you had read the page you linked to, you would have seen that purchase control applies only to satellite, not to Stream. This is the second time in the last few days I’ve seen a rep do the same thing. Do you guys realize satellite and Stream are not the same thing and don’t have the same features?

I have directv stream. The parental controls only seem to apply to movie and tv ratings but not to purchases.
Frankly i don't care if my 91 year old aunt watches x-rated movies but i do care if i have to pay for it.

Thanks everyone for confirming my assumptions. Hopefully they'll add this functionality soon.
