Pairing Direct TV Stream Remote to Vizio Soundbar

What is the best way or how do i Pair my Direct TV Stream Remote with my Vizio Sound Bar....I have a Samsung TV and Just bought a New Vizio SoundBar to go with the TV and When I try to Pair the Remote with the New Vizio SoundBar....I go to Settings and then Remote Control...and then Select Sound and Choose Vizio...I point the Remote facing the SoundBar like it says on the TV and I do notice that the Volume Increases a bit and then I choose YES for when it asks if My Sound Increased....however Once I am Done Setting it up ...it says you are Ready to Control Your Vizio SoundBar....I try the Mute Button as well  as Volume Up/Down Button and I cannot Mute the SoundBar Nor Increase the Volume or Lower the Volume....I have to Use the Remote that came with the Vizio Soundbar.  Its a Real Pain because I used to have a Phillips Soundbar and The TV and Soundbar would Power ON/OFF with the Direct TV Stream Remote and I could Mute and Lower or Raise the Volume on the Phillips SoundBar with No Problem...Now I cannot with my NEW VIZIO SOUNDBAR....and NOT SURE WHY....Is there Something I can do to Fix this Issue....PLEASE HELP ME RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.  THANK YOU
