On/off control of devices
I can control my tv and sound system with the Gemini remote, but I have to use the TCL and Bose remotes to turn on their respective systems first. Should the Gemini remote be able to turn on and off the TCL tv and Bose sound system??

Maybe. But only if those devices support "HDMI CEC Control" to synchronize power on/off across all devices.

The Bose system is older, but the TCL tv is new. How would a person know if they are compatible?
