New DirecTV Stream subscriber using the Streaming Box Can't get Remote to control Volume Up/Down to work!

Over all impressed with the service but the Streaming Box has already had to be replaced, ethernet port Dead. I know it happens but the most annoying issue is not being able to control my receiver volume.

I have a Emotiva XMC-2 and when setting up Volume Control & Mute the DirecTV remote database has 2 options and neither totally works. 1st selection - Nothing works, 2cd selection Mute works but Volume control does not!

How to get DirecTV to properly update their Remote Control Database?

Emotive, a USA Company has been around for a number of years and I am sure Emotive would provide any needed information to get this fixed.

The cheap remotes included with DirecTV equipment simply cannot control every device on the planet. You'll be much happier with a quality universal remote, like Logitech Harmony.

OK, Thanks guys.

By the way I have the Harmony with Hub but the layout and usefulness of DirecTV remote for this seems quite good.

Also Logitech Harmony remotes have been discontinued. It was announced late 2021.

Yeah, it's a bummer that Logitech discontinued the Harmony remotes. But they're still available. And they still seem to be keeping the database updated.
