My Direct TV remote asks to be paired each time I power up (turn on) my TV

I have a DirectTV stick, and my Direct TV remote asks to be paired each time the TV turns on.  However, all of the commands on the remote work during the process.  What's wrong.... How can I stop the message appearing.....

@snueman

Settings--system-remotes/devices-program your remote--

toggle off "ask to pair with new tv"

I’m having the same issue.  The instructions provided in the post above provide instructions on how to pair the remote.  My remote is already paired successfully so this support article is irrelevant.  The problem is that EVERY time I turn on the TV, there is a message asking “Use your DIRECTV remote to control this TV?  Yes or No”.  When I pick yes, the remote successfully pairs, but then I’m presented with the same pop-up next time I cycle the TV power.

The DIrect TV solutions do not work.

Hi @snueman. Your comment caught our attention. Could you tell us if you're still experiencing the same issue now?

Every time I power down my Sony TV for the day, the next time I turn on the TV with the Direct TV remote, my Direct TV works fine. But I get this message constantly: "Press OK to Pair." It pairs, and that is it. Funny, I have total control without pairing, but the message stays at the top right of the screen and is annoying. So I pair each time. I have done this for over 600 days.

We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. The pop-up message shouldn't be there when your remote is working fine. For a quick fix, please restart your Gemini Air. Press and release the button on the back of your device, and let us know if it helps. Jona, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I did that, and no change.  It still asks to pair every time it powers up after +-30 minutes of off time.
