Must login every time
On two of my three TVs, I am forced to login whenever I launch the DirecTV app. However, on the third TV (which is the first TV to have DirecTV Stream installed) I can launch the DirecTV Stream app without being asked to login. WHY?

I am not using a DirecTV Streaming *DEVICE*; rather, I have installed the DirecTV Stream app on my Samsung smart TV.

That would be why (likely), as the Samsung TVs have so many bugs. You don’t necessarily need to get the DIRECTV STREAM box for service, you can simply pick up a $30 Fire Stick, Roku, or Apple TV to get the job done.

First, thank you for trying to help; it is appreciated! However, I'm having the same login problem with my DirecTV Stream app on my third TV which is a Sanyo TV with a Firestick. The only app that is having this login problem (on BOTH TVs) is the DirecTV Stream app. I'm not having the problem with any other streaming app (e.g. Netflix, Prime, Roku...), so I suspect the problem is with the DirecTV Stream app. I talked to their support and tried to uninstall/re-install the app, but still having the same login problem.

I am having the same issue with my Apple TV 4th gen. I'm on a trial for 5 days, and if I have to log in every day, it will be bye-bye. I like the service, but I refuse to take 10 minutes to input my complex PW every time I want to watch TV. Never had that problem with U-verse (which is SO overpriced...) or any of my other Apple TV streaming apps.
