How to turn off screensaver
When the screensaver turns on I can no longer use voice control with Siri to resume play. Where is the option to turn off the Directv screensaver. I have not found a setting for it in Settings.

If you have the Gemini/Gemini Air you will need to go into your setting. How to do this is to press the button on your remote that looks like a house press your left arrow button and then go all the way down to the bottom to settings. Press settings. Once you are in settings then go down to system. Once in the system menu go to device preferences. Once in that menu go to screen saver. Once you have selected screen saver all you have to do is select screen saver and it will turn off. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the reply. I should have thought to mention I am using Apple TV (latest generation - 5 I think). Every UI can be different on every different streaming device, can't it?

@schmeer You're welcome, sorry that I can not be much help as I am not familiar with Apple devices. If it is anything like Roku TV with the Directv App there is no way to turn off the screen saver that I have found.

@Tiger593 - Again, thanks for trying to help. Sounds as if AppleTV is just like Roku. One can turn off that junk on the Gemini, but not on Roku or ATV and I assume all other 3rd party streaming devices. It’s as if DTV wants to annoy their paying customers and make sure other tech like Siri won’t work in order to decrease their value proposition. Makes no sense to me. I will vote with my wallet and dump DTV for Hulu or Fubo soon. Again.
