How to remove a device that is programmed into the remote

I have DirecTV Stream with the Gemini Air pendant (remote made by Omni). How do I remove one of the devices (speaker system) programmed into the remote? I want the other device (TV) to remain programmed.

Go into settings--system--remotes/devices and you can remove a device from there. In your case I think you just want to change "switch volume control" to tv under "program your remote"

Hi, @Moodysj. You can unplug your speaker so your Gemini Air will discontinue to detect your speaker system but keep your remote programmed to the TV. You may also switch your volume and audio output to TV. Please follow the steps below:

    • Press the ‘Home’ button on the remote
    • Arrow right and select the ‘Settings’ (Gear Icon), press ‘OK’ on the remote
    • Select "Systems", press "OK"
    • Select "Remote & Devices", press "OK"
    • Select ‘Program Your Remote’, press OK
    • Select ‘Switch Volume Control’, press OK
    • Select ‘TV’ or ‘Speaker System’, press OK.
    • Device is now set to control the volume paired to the TV and not on the Speaker System.

Thank you for choosing DIRECTV. Please let us know how it goes.

It's not that easy. And yes, I've already tried that. If you go further into the remote & devices sub menu "program your remote", the devices are listed but no way to remove them, only to add more

Thanks for the response. So I'm supposed to leave my 7.2.2 home theater sound system unplugged??

You can just switch volume control to TV instead of the speaker system. You may unpair your Gemini remote completely or do a device factory reset then program your remote again only to your TV, so you wouldn't need to unplug your home theater sound system if you prefer not to.
