how to avoid the advanced receiver service fee

I want to eliminate the $15 advanced receiver service fee.  How do I go about doing that?

Bring your own device or purchase the proprietary DirecTV device from a 3rd party like Amazon, Walmart, or Solid Signal.

If you have DirecTV via Internet, so 24 month agreement with the Gemini streaming box they provided you, then you cannot. This is because the service model is similar to traditional DirecTV (the satellite service).

DIRECTV STREAM being a bring your own device (BYOD) is the one that was without the additional fees. You use your chosen 3rd party device, such as Roku, Firestick, etc. or even the Gemini purchased to own (so no 24 month agreement either) from an Authorized 3rd party seller.
