Home location
I need to reset my home location. I just changed internet providers but I've used my four annual resets. I've called customer support at least 5 times and it's as if they have no idea what I'm talking about.

You can only change home locations four times in one year! There is no workaround for this. You will have to either wait until you roll over into the next year, which would be after the date you first subscribed to the streaming service, or cancel and resubscribe using a different email address.

Unfortunately IP address changing is changing the home address. Changing internet providers counts as that and currently there is no direct fix.
Waiting for the reset or canceling and signing up again with a new email (as if new customer) are the options.

My home Internet was with T-Mobile previously which led to constantly changing home location. In the past I've been able to call and get an extra home location reset. I'm not sure what's changed but technical support now has no concept of what I'm trying to reset.

If you got overrides beyond the 4 a year, you were lucky. None of the agents are supposed to be able to do it. So either a system hole they plugged or you got reps following the policies correctly.
Yes there needs to be a better option for this situation. Unfortunately by the rules you are stuck for now.

I think it is ridiculous that we pay for Internet streaming services but are then forced to stream content on their terms. This is not 1982. This is not CABLE. (or is it??)
Cable died because consumers got tired of paying for tons of crap they didn't want but was FORCED upon them. ...If I pay for a streaming service/live TV, and I want to watch it ON THE MOON, I should be able to watch ON WHATEVER DEVICE I want, using whatever internet provider I want, WHENEVER I want. Again, we're talking about the INTERNET. ... This is all about CONTROL by a couple media giants; what we, the consumers want, matters not.

Cable didn't die. It is still a normal option along with satellite and now streaming. There are more options for sure, but cable isn't gone like you make it sound.
Channels have licensing where they may be broadcast. Even a streaming service is limited to the United States, so unless the Moon becomes the 51st state then it wouldn't be allowed. And some sports channels are Regional, and don't forget about local channels, that are both for their specific Designated Market Area (DMA) so not viewable over the entire country.
The issue in this thread is that being a streaming provider is using the IP address of the equipment to determine it as your home location. Since those are not static, if it changes then it is like you moved. Service has a limit of 'moves' in a year. Once that is capped then you have to wait until you can change it, resulting in some channels not being correct for that time.
Yes this needs a better way to verify home location to avoid this issue. But don't mistake the technical reach of internet to be the same as were the rules and regulations permit content to reach.

Ultimately, I ended up cancelling my service and resubscribing with my wife's email address. Silly, but that's what we had to do
