Help! New subscriber and my Gemini boxes are turning my Samsung TV's back on.
Hello new to DTV Stream and so far it's great but I have two TV's that are having power issues with the remotes both with the Gemini Air devices, both are Samsung TV's. The problem is when i turn off the devices sometimes they wont turn off or sometimes it will just turn off the Gemini and i have to press off again and most of the time i have to turn them on several times, last night the tv came back on several minutes after shutting it off even.

We apologize for the experience. Please unpair your remote from your Gemini Air and pair it again. To learn more about how to fix remote issues, visit Set up your DIRECTV remote | DIRECTV Customer Service & Support Jill, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Turn off the HDMI control on your tv. I used to have a Samsung and did that. I think it's called Anynet HDMI CEC control in your Samsung tv settings.

For anyone with this issue in the future just wanted to let everyone know i solved this by covering my IR on my Samsung TV with electrical tape, since the remote uses both RF and IR to power on and off the tv it was for some reason was accepting the command twice. Easy and simple fix should have an option to turn off IR on the remote though IMO!

Hello @darrent25, the Gemini Air only allows internet connection via Wi-Fi. To address this, we can replace your Gemini Air device to a regular Gemini box, which can be connected through cable for a more stable connection. We'll send you a PM to further review. Jhon, DIRECTV Community Specialist
