HDR 4:2:2 Chroma setting for displaying DolbyVision on Gemini Air devices turns off intermittently with LG OLED TV's
The HDR 4:2:2 Chroma setting for displaying DolbyVision on Gemini Air devices turns off intermittently with LG OLED C-Series TV's. Usually I get a message on the tv screen that the TV doesn't support 4:2:2 chroma. I have to go back into Settings of the Gemini Air pendant and change the HDR setting back to 4:2:2 Chroma. Then the pendant checks the TV and acknowledges it supports 4:2:2 chroma. It then reboots the pendant device and the DolbyVision is back on. I have 5 LG OLED C-series TV's that all support DolbyVision and the problem occurs on all of them. I have one Sony TV that supports DolbyVison and the pendant work fine in it (HDR 4:2:2 chroma stays on). The problem with the LG's and Directv Gemini Air pendants seems to occur after a software update is installed, either on the pendant or the TV. Is anyone else having this problem? I suspect it is a communication issue between devices. For the record, I have a consistently strong internet WiFi connection with bandwidth more than 1,000 Mbps.
