Have Xfinity cable service for Smart TV and Xfinity for cell phone service. Want to cut cable and buy DirectV Streaming w/Gemini Air Remote

Before purchasing DIrect TV Gemini Air Streaming Service, what equipment do I need to return to Xfinity when I discontinue service?

I have a second  Xfinity account for two cell phones which I believe brings in the Wi-Fi service into my home.  Is this correct?  Or, do

I receive WI-Fi through the cable line?  I intend to keep the cell phone service.

I am a women, and don't understand much about Cable wires or electronics.  But do need to cut the cable costs, etc.

I have two SMART TV's with one large black box placed near the living room TV and one smaller black box behind the bedroom TV.  I am paying for:  TV boxes and two remotes @ $24.00/month for equipment plus a Modem @ $15.00/month.

Do I need to buy a new Router when I discontinue my Xfinity TV Cable service??  OR, is the Router connected to the WI-FI?

Please help.  Thank you.

Just keep your Xfinity modem/router internet service and use it with Directv Stream. You can do a free trial with Directv Stream at https://streamtv.directv.com/ If you are looking for a Gemini Air device... you can signup with a 2yr contract price lock and they will send you one for free.

I myself just cut the cord with infinity myself, keeping only the Wi-Fi.  If you haven't already dropped, Xfinity, DIRECTV gives you two weeks to decide whether or not you want to keep their service. If you don't, there is no charge, so you can make your decision before you make the leap off the Xfinity train.

I have 2X1 boxes, their power cords, and the remotes that I have to return. Since you're retaining their internet service, you should be able to retain both a modem and the cable cable which provides the signal for the modem.  They don't come by and bother to remove your cables.  You have to return the rest to one of their outlet locations within 30 days of cessation of service.  I am paying about $100 less and getting a bunch of premium channels that I had discontinued with Xfinity due to their cost on top of the already ridiculous fees for TV service that they charged. I like they DIRECTV set up better, and I've only a suspicion that the picture isn't quite as sharp.

I have ordered Direct TV Gemini Device and Service.  Very pleased with Salesperson that I talked to on phone.  Thank you for your advise.
