Guide randomly changes channel sort order on its own

At random times, the guide on the osprey box will randomly change from the sort order I have specified (channel name) to sorting by channel number. I don't understand why this is happening.

When I last turned on the box, there was a full screen "ad" informing me about setting favorites. I pressed exit twice on the remote and then went to the guide. It had changed to sort by channel number.

This isn't the first time this has happened. What's causing this? Is it some sort of update in the overnight hours that resets the box to factory settings?
