Gemini remote stopped working on my tv after power outage.

Gemini remote stopped working on my tv after power outage. 

original tv remote works but very hard to navigate

When I push a button on it, a screen popup switches to HDMI1, which it is already on, and screen goes blank.

Hello, @johnta1. We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Gemini remote after the power outage. Please try the following steps to fix this issue: 

 

- Take your batteries out for a couple of seconds, then put them back in to see if that helps. You can also try inserting new batteries.


Also, unpair your remote from the device:


- Press and hold DASH (–) and APPS or Diamond buttons until you see the LED lights on the remote blink blue twice.
- Restart your Gemini (DIRECTV) device by pressing and releasing the red button on the side of the device. You can also unplug your device and then plug it back in.


When your Gemini (DIRECTV) device is back on, pair the remote again:


- Point the remote at your Gemini (DIRECTV) device.
- Press and hold FAST FORWARD and REWIND at the same time for 2-3 seconds. When they pair, you’ll get an onscreen message that your remote is ready to use.

Thanks for the help.

It seems to be that the tv (new) remote was working the internet part of the tv?

I changed the Gemini Air to a different HDMI and changed the input to that HDMI.

Then the Gemini remote worked on the Directv setup.

Never had a smart tv before. :)

Everything's good now.
