Gemini remote able to acknowledge a TV input change request?

Got a new gemini today, plugged everything together and surprisingly, all the important stuff works.  On the it would be nice tier, the remote has an input button which does bring up the TV input menu, but alas, I have been unable to find away to tell the TV "OK" its on my choice of input.

Anyone be able to make this work?

With my Samsung Tv, I just hit the input button on the remote and when it moves to the correct input- on the screen menu-the tv changes it if you wait a few seconds. What brand tv do you have? Have you tried hitting the OK button the Genie remote?

Hi, thanks for letting me know that your Gemini controller is not being able to enter the TV input option. We want you to have all of our features available.
Please try the following steps to select the TV input with your Gemini controller:

• Please click the input button on the remote
• When in changes to the TV input you want
• Wait a couple of seconds, and it should change automatically.

Find more information in the following link end let me know how it goes https://www.directv.com/support/article/000092831#Gemini-Remote

The TV times out and reverts to the original setting.  The tv is a Sharp.

I've tried every combination of buttons.. OK.  arrow buttons, etc.

You could also turn on HDMI CEC on your tv. Then it will automatically detect when the Gemini comes on and change to that input.

@Ludwick577

Unfortunately,  my wife wears hearing aids, so we have a 5 in - 1 out  HDMI device that pulls the audio out of the HDMI signal and sends it directly to her hearing aids.

We did this as the Sharp LC-60LE450U will not pass sound to the tv sound out port if any other device is producing content for the TV, ie HDMI in ( DVDs, computers, the Gemini box ).
