Gemini logged into someone else’s account
Since march 1st my Gemini has been logged into someone else’s account. My recordings are gone, my channels are gone, they are local channels from some other state. My apps are gone. I’m unable to log out due to auto sign in, I’d need this persons account information. I’ve been with technical support who asks for serial number and resets and does nothing. Tired of getting the run around while I pay $150 a month for something I cannot use.

Have tried doing a Factory Reset from your settings menu. Then signing on again with your sign on and password. You will loose previous settings and have to redo them, but there is a chance it may cure your problem.

I have reset, it automatically logs into their account. Have no options to change login. I can’t turn off auto login as it’s someone else’s account my device is logging into.

Go into settings---sytem---accounts/sign-in and look to see if their email is there. If you can find it maybe you can email them and let them know what is going on. You could also give Dtv customer service that email.

I had this same thing happen to me a couple of years ago, and the only way they were able to fix it was to send me a new box. I tried everything with them and did about 20 factory resets, but nothing would work to sign the other person out. I finally started playing with the other person's account by lowering their package and then calling back into customer service and telling them what I did and gave the other person's name and account # before they sent me a different box. But they changed what information is displayed in the settings, so now all you can give is their email address. I would call customer service again and tell them the person's email address and if you cannot get signed into your account on your device then want to cancel your service.

There is nowhere to get any information in the settings. Have been through it. Only options are my subscriptions where it says what package is, sign out which I can’t do, messages which is empty and privacy notices.

DIRECTV has been no assistance. I follow that path and on my Gemini device there is no information for accounts using that path. DIRECTV just keeps saying they are looking into it.

I bought a gemini air from someone on ebay. I had the same issue. No matter what I did, it would log into someone else's account and I never got a prompt to log in. It was not something I could fix. The person who I bought it from had to remove the auto sign in from their account. It was locked to their account until he removed the auto sign in. Then I was able to login with my account. You can't override it by resetting.

@jseaman98 I found another place you might find the account holder's email address. Go to settings---device preferences----about----scroll down then there is a listing for "accounts"
