Gemini Air
I just got my brand new Gemini Air to beta test. So far so good, The only issue that I had was it did not want to install the first time and needed a restart. The whole setup process took about 45 mins. I really see no difference between the Gemini/Osprey Box and the Gemini Air other than the picture quality is slightly better and the wifi speeds to the device are better. So far so good hopefully no major issue arise. Just putting this out in case anyone might have any questions about it.

Same here. Received mine an hour ago and already set up. A few people on reddit said theirs are glitchy. Not seeing that with mine.

@Ludwick577 I agree, I haven't seen any glitches yet either. Maybe the glitches were only in the first batch of devices they sent out for beta testing.

Would be nice if the ACES had access to the new Gemini Air device. No idea how they expect that we can offer any forum support on the device if we can not ever get one!
@ICHYWT Any way you can get the new device for the ACES to support subscribers questions from the forum?

I actually inquired about those devices last week and was informed the pilot was closed. Let me try another tester contact though and see if they are involved

The bigger issue is that old grandfathered subscribers can't even purchase them. We were not even able to get the old 200 or 400 models. Initially, I was only able to obtain the original boxes from the AT&T BETA Tests. Looks like the end of an era for some of us ACES.

They opened up the beta test last week for a 2nd round after the initial one was started back in early April. I received the email offer 10 days ago. I think they were supposed to include an additional 10,000 in the 2nd wave.

I wonder if a USB-C ethernet adapter will work for the Gemini Air

I think your in a good position to try and see if it will work. I would really like a workaround for attaching a hard drive like they have in Europe on their TV's that's not available here.

I have had this for about 24 hours now and at this point, I have had it on for most of the time and have had no issues as of yet. I know I am just being nit-picky here but I was just surprised to see that you still had to plug into ac power and that there was no option to be able to plug in using the USB port to power the device. Fire Sticks and Roku sticks have this option and that is what this device is relatively comparable to. I thought that this was supposed to streamline your device as you now no longer have to see a box as the device is hidden behind your TV. But they left one design flaw you are stuck with AC power, and with a cord still hanging.

@Tiger593 Gemini Air is USB-C. My Firestick is USB micro. I guess you could get a USB-C to USB power cable and power the Air like that?

@Ludwick577 I was thinking the same thing myself. I am going to get one and try it to see if it will power it.
