Gemini Air wired connection?

Our Gemini Air is in an area of our home that has spotty Wi-Fi signal strength. There is a CAT5 outlet nearby but the Air has no ports on it at all. Is there a way to hook it up to the CAT5?  Maybe an adapter of some sort?

We are hoping that DIRECTV STREAM eventually integrates an adapter for their Gemini Air so that it may support a wired Ethernet connection. But, unfortunately, as of now, this adapter is not yet available.

I've tried an ethernet adapter a couple of months ago when I received my Air beta. Doesn't work.

Hello there. Gemini Air only allows internet connection via Wi-Fi.  Since you are having issues with the Wi-Fi signal, we can change your Gemini Air to a Gemini with a LAN port to connect to a CAT5 cable. We will send you a PM to help you to change your device. Haendel, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Sounds like you may have to add a Wi-Fi extender in the area of your home near your Gemini Air.

DIRECTVhelp, we have the same issue.  We need a unit that supports ethernet.  We are in trial period for your service.   We were given a "Gemini Air" but TV is in room that used to be outside porch and there is brick wall between TV and router.  Can you tell me what I need to do here?   We are in Chicago.  To exchange, can I go to a service center?   Or can we have one sent to us in the mail?   This is a show stopper issue.   If you don't have a solution, we are going back to Comcast.  (We have no interest in buying/installing a repeater just to get your service to work, etc.)

Sorry to piggy back on existing issue.  Thought it would be good for context.   Let me know if you would like me to create new thread but just expect me to just copy/paste this message to new one.

Hi, geohey007. I understand that you've been experiencing issues with the connection of your device to the internet. To address this, we can replace your Gemini Air device to a regular Gemini box, which can be connected through cable for a more stable connection. Let's meet via PM for the replacement process. Margie, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Margie, I have not heard from you.   I'm sorry to be a newbie in this forum but how do we PM each other?  If there is something I need to do, let me know.   : )

Thanks for your help.

I have a new account. Can I still get a Gemini unit for a LAN connection instead of using Gemini Air?

I just called and tried to get a regular Gemini box, but they said they only have the Gemini Air available from now on?? Is this true?? I would rather have it wired than wireless.

Yes, this is true. If you wish to purchase a Gemini C71KW-400 you need to purchase one on a third-party site such as eBay or Amazon. I would check with the seller beforehand to make sure the box has been properly removed from their account.

That (Edited per community guidelines). My DirecTV satelite bill went up to $186!! Im just gonna cancel and go over to YouTubeTV. Over 20 years with DirecTV, I called asking for more discounts. But they could only lower it by $15. Not worth it. oh well

@CtK4949

Wait, you are a directv satellite customer? I thought you were a directv stream customer since you referenced the Gemini Air, a stream exclusive product.

YES, satellite customers are currently receiving the C71KW-400 Gemini box. It can be wired as long as a DECA is being used. I have attached one so you can understand what I am referring to:
