Gemini air & Bluetooth speaker volume control

I just purchased some cheap Amazon Bluetooth 5.0 speakers and paired them to a Gemini Air.  The volume control on the remote won't adjust them, and the volume slider on the screen is disabled.   Everything works correctly with my Bluetooth headphones,  and the new speakers allow volume control when paired with my phone.  Any clue what the issue/solution is? Or what do I need to look for to get a compatible speaker?

Hi Troy. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We completely understand your frustration with the volume of the speakers. We want to assure you that we are here to help and will do our best to find a solution to this issue.

The first step we want you to try is to repair the speakers to the Gemini device. If this doesn't work, then direct to "Settings," "System," "Remote & Devices," and "Programming your remote." There, you should find the option to select your speaker system brand. We'll be reaching out to you to verify if these steps worked. Luisa, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Just got Gemini Air, and having trouble with surround sound.  I have a Samsung TV with 5 HDMI hookups.  I hooked Gemini Air to TV along with LG Blueray player that has 1100 watt stereo.  I used to use it with the ATT genie that I had.  I can not get this to work.  I did not change any of the hook ups besides adding Gemini.  I have searched online and can not find a solution.
