Equipment
I currently have a fiber digital wifi connection with a local telephone company. I am looking to save some money from the $220.00 I am paying for internet and a Tv package. I own my own router and my high speed internet should be adequate at 250/250. I would like to see what my cost would be for the direct stream choice package, with local sports package (three tvs). I think the rate would be good for two years, right? Is there any other equipment needed? Remotes

DirecTV (satellite) or DIRECTV STREAM (streaming-only) are not internet providers, they are just TV service.
WiFi is simply the wireless connection between your devices and the router, or even between devices and printer with no internet.
Are you saying you have 250Mbps down and up? That is fine for DIRECTV STREAM, or DirecTV by Internet (two separate streaming services they now have). Owning your router makes no difference as that is ownership, not capability.
DIRECTV STREAM works on a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) which means Roku, Firestick, etc. Your chosen streaming device. There is the company branded one (Gemini) which is optional for DIRECTV STREAM but I believe required for DirecTV by Internet.
You'll need to compare the packages on their website to see if channels and rates will work for you.

We came from Xfinity cable TV and Internet. We found the Gemini provided for us the most familiar looking interface to our old cable TV. We tried Roku and others but they seemed more complicated then we liked.
The other thing is that DirecTV Stream does NOT need 200Mbps service. So you if a lower speed is available for less $$ you might consider that. Typically most Internet providers love to upgrade so consider starting lower if it will save $$ for you.
We've been DirecTV Stream customers for about 2 years. We love it. We especially like that we can take it with us when we go south for the winter.
Good Luck.

Yes 200Mbps+ is more than enough for DIRECTV STREAM. Just depends what else is being done at home, how many devices, etc. if lowering would be worth it to save money.
Though the Gigabit (1Gbps and higher) range seems excessive for most, being in the triple digits (100Mbps and up) seems to be the sweet spot.
