Doesn't see hotspot

I used to connect to my phone hotspot when Tmobile Home WIFI went down. Tmobile WIFI went down for a while last night and when I tried using the phone hotspot it didn't show up in the available networks.  Same thing using my wifes phone.  The streamer has been power cycled several times.  It's been a while since I've needed to do this so I'm curious what's changed.

Both of my DirecTV streamers have the problem.

That is strange my DTV Stream boxes connect just fine to my Verizon phone's hotspot it showed up in my available networks and connected without any issue.

Yup, mine used to work fine too but it's been a couple of months since I last needed to use the hotspot and now it doesn't show in available networks. This is on 2 streaming boxes and 2 different phones hotspots.

Maybe your configuration for your mobile hotspot got changed.  Check to see what Band your hotspot is set to.  See if it is set to 2.4GHz or is it set to 5GHz.  Devices that don't support 5GHz won't be able to find or connect to your hotspot.

Thanks for the thougt. It was on 2.4GHz but I did try 5GHz then set back to 2.4

Support reset my account and had me uninstall the DirecTv app and then reinstall and power cycle the streamer box. Nothing changed, still not seeing the hotspot network.

New piece of information: I can manually add the hotspot and it will work. However, once I switch to another available network the hotspot disappears from the available networks listed. The hotspot is set to always be visible in the phone hotspot configuration.
