Directv Stream

We are considering changing from satellite Directv to Directv Stream.
1.  Can we record a program and watch a different program live at the same time?

2.  We have 2 TVs at home.  Do we order a “box” for each tv?

3.  We have a 2nd home.  Can we order a 3rd and 4 th box for that house and use the same account?

Thanks!

We finally are getting fiber optic cable in our neighborhood and streaming is completely new to us.  We’ve had satellite Directv since it was invented!

1. Yes. Recordings are stored in the "cloud", so you can be record LOTS of shows while still watching Live TV.

2. That's up to you. You can also use a streaming device, like Roku or FireStick.

3. Yes. You can stream 2-3 devices when you're out of your home network.

Hey, @Mhmanion. Yes, you can record one show and watch another live at the same time. More info here: Record and Watch Shows With Cloud DVR | DIRECTV Support

The Streaming App service allows you to lease a device from us or download the app on your compatible device. Visit Streaming devices compatible with DIRECTV | DIRECTV Support for a list of compatible streaming devices.

Also, you can watch up to three streams at the same time on your mobile or streaming devices in your second home. Check here for more details: DIRECTV STREAM device and streaming limits | DIRECTV Support
