Directv Stream wants to record to my old DTV local satellite receivers
Switching to Stream from Satellite but when I try to record to cloud using the Roku app it isn't an option... it asks me to record to one of my two legacy on-network HDRs. I am keeping the HDRs until I watch all the old recorded content then I'll shut the service down. Do I have to wait until I am no longer a satellite customer for the cloud recording to be an option?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James

Did you use the same email address for DIRECTV STREAM as you did satellite? This can cause many conflicts and I highly recommend you use a different email address. Then, the DIRECTV app won’t ever know you were a previous satellite subscriber (or current one for a short period of time) and thus not show these older HDDVRs for recording.
As a note, also ensure on the DIRECTV app that you are signing in under the DIRECTV STREAM section. That may keep the app from doing what it is now.
