Direct TV streaming remote (Gemini) programming question
I have an older Samsung LED TV (Model: UN40J6200AF) and a Hitachi soundbar (Model: HSB32B26) that is connected via Optical cable.
The Gemini remote recognized the Samsung TV model and that is working correctly. However, the remote does not recognize the Hitachi soundbar.
Is there a way to integrate/add the Hitachi soundbar to the list of recognized Gemini sound devices?

Hi, @camkewl1. Yes, but not all devices are compatible. You can program your Gemini remote to control your soundbar by visiting: How to reprogram your DIRECTV remote control | DIRECTV Support and select Gemini remote. Kenneth, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Thanks for the quick response. The problem is that this model Hitachi soundbar is not listed in the models. How would you add additional soundbar models to the list? Is that possible? I presume the Gemini remote can be programmed for other IR device codes.

Currently, there is no option to manually add your soundbar model to our system. However, it's a great idea! I'll forward it to our team to determine the next steps. For now, try enabling the HDMI-CEC feature to see if it fixes the soundbar issue. To do this, go to settings > System > Remote & Devices > Program your Remote > HDMI-CEC and turn it on. Thanks for passing this request along! I did try the HDMI-CEC setting. No joy. 🥲
If the TV had an HDMI ARC port it would be easy.
