Direct TV Stream Box and Remote

I had to reset the direct TV stream box. Afterward, the remote will not sync. When I try to syn it, I get a message on the screen with an remote saying to press OK. I press OK but nothing happens. I changed the batteries and nothing still happened. I walked away and came back, now the remote on the screen is flashing to press and hold (3 secs) the fast-forward and rewind buttons. When I do that, the remote blinks blue a couple of times. Then it goes back to staying blue until it times out.
