Direct TV App Roku

When I download the Directv app from the Roku streaming store, open app, sign in, the app just spins and spins then I get this message “ We had an issue retrieving this content “ We weren’t able to load this content. Please give us a moment and try again “.

I have the following Roku:

Roku Express 4K+

I am currently NOT an ATT Fiber user yet.  I am on Xfinity/Comcast--ATT Fiber is being installed tomorrow 4-27-24

I have uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app same thing

I have uplugged my router/gateway reconnected tried again same result

I have unplugged the Roku, same thing.

Are you on DirecTV satellite or DirecTV Stream customer?

D TV Stream. I have one box for our "main" tv.  works perfectly going through Xfinity/Comcast.  I also was able to download the MAX app, and was able to watch it last night.  Something is preventing me from signing into the D TV stream app on Roku.

Those Express models are very low end performance models and are very unpowered. Many have had issues with them. DirecTV is very data intensive compared to other streaming services. Are you getting a decent bandwidth at the device location?

Have you ever had Dtv Satellite? Some people have issues using the same email they used with other ATT or Dtv products

Potentially a long time ago, 15-25 years ago?

Bcc- that’s interesting, I’m not sure of the bandwidth? Potentially makes sense, I did check the download speed on the Roku and was at 98mbs. It makes sense of the 2-3 minutes of spinning/thinking and then get the message. I do have an express model, the person at the store (att) said get the cheapest one. I got the one that said 4k. Is it worth a try to go and get a higher end? What model should I look for?

The Ultra models are the best for performance and speed. Your 98 mps is more than adequate. I prefer the Amazon Fire Sticks myself.

if you are using the same email once used with a past product ....use a different email for credentials and change it on the DTV Stream website
