direct stream cloud dvr recordings all disappeared

On Friday evening 2/23/2024 ALL of my library recordings disappeared ( except the series i was watching at the time). 

Even newly recorded shows are gone.  I am paying for unlimited storage.

both set top devices and my laptop impacted.  

I have reset my direct stream tv top boxes without success.

How can my recordings be restored?

We had the same thing happen tonight. I'm getting nowhere with tech support chat. They had me do a factory reset and keep saying we might have accidentally deleted all at once on our end. We have dozens of different shows and unlimited storage. All current recordings all gone in a blink. What gives?

@jim_str  and @northrnlites Are you sharing your account with anyone who could have deleted your recordings?  Do you have any small children that could have deleted them?  I know they don't usually disappear on their own but you never know.  I had something similar happen but they showed back up after a couple of days but I was able to access all my recordings online using my computer.  So if they are not showing up online they have to have been permanently deleted and there is no way to recover them to my knowledge.

Jim_Str  No other users in the time.  Gone from my computer access also.  Was watching a show and stopped to run an errand.  All gone when I got back except the series I had just been watching.  Now only have that series and any new recordings.

  Really want some of the recorded content back!

Hi, Jim. We're sorry you're having issues with the recordings on your DVR. The number of episodes that can be stored limited, and the oldest episode will be automatically deleted first within 9 months or less to make room for the next recorded episode. Same as Jim here within 24 hrs of his library loss. Deleted a few recordings we watched and when we flipped back to guide then back to library ALL recordings/library had disappeared.  We have unlimited and most recordings were less than 2 mo. old. Like Jim, all are missing from online account as well.  One weird thing is there are 2 recordings left showing in the library on one of our TV's with a Roku. That tells me it's something @ DirectTv Stream and not our account. 

No kids, just two adults.  Had service for more than one year.  We record a few dozen different shows.  We know how to delete shows and it would have been impossible to remove all the library at once as tech's are suggesting.

All recordings are still happening on schedule too.  Still waiting for a service tech to reach out from DirectTv Stream as none available yesterday.

Lost cell service with AT&T this week and now their DirectTv Stream.  Not having a good week with AT&T companies.

What northrnlites says above is concerning. I'm a brand new customer having been with UVerse for almost 20 years. I have the Premier level with unlimited cloud storage (I'm DTV Streaming btw). Nothing is able to be recorded at all. But once I figure this out I'm now afraid my troubles with AT&T/DTV is only just starting...ugh!!

My recordings NEVER last for more than a day. It’s so dumb, I hate it. I only keep it because my fiancé pays this bill so I can’t complain. I’ve been lucky with On Demand but today my luck came to an end. Fix it.
