Deceptive practices by Directv stream?

Does anyone else feel totally duped by Directv stream? When I went into ATT for my new phone they showed me the new Directv Streaming service. It was actually a little cheaper than I was paying before. They said each tv needed the box. Not that it was an option , just that it was needed. So I got 3 boxes. I went to cancel today and was told I would owe the remaining $150 on the boxes. Huh? I thought the $5 a month I was being charged was for a rental fee. Nope. I bought them out-right. I am so AGRAVATED by this. I never would have agreed to this. Think I will contact the BBB.

Sorry to hear they never informed you about the price. That $5/month is solely for paying off the box. Also, them telling you each TV needs a DIRECTV Osprey box is a flat/out lie. Streaming devices like Fire Sticks, Rokus, and Apple TV’s can be used as well. 
I hope it works out for you by doing the BBB complaint. Good luck.

so today....direct tv decision box appeared on my tv screen for Acorn Streaming to be added to my Dirct TV account.....$127 per year......deceptive how the decision box appears and my wife selected the wrong box.took me 45 minutes on chat to cancel....they prorated my rate at cancelation to $1.16 and then gave me a credit of $1.16. makes me angry how they set this up.....all of i sudden we bought this app and didn't want it. it is fixed now but what an ordeal!! almost ready to cancel direct tv
