Constantly prompted whether to use DirecTV remote to control TV
Received a replacement Gemini box and it seems most of the issues I had with the old one came back in the new box 'm working with social media support but want to post here for additional support.
As indicated in the title, the box keeps prompting whether to use DirecTV remote to control the TV. It makes no difference what I answer as I can literally turn the box off and back on again and the prompt comes back. It's really irritating to continue seeing this.
I've programmed a Logitech harmony remote for turning on the TV, surround sound receiver, and the Gemini box. This remote was programmed by specifying the model of each device and selecting the input for the receiver. The DirecTV remote at best will turn on the Gemini box and maybe the TV. If I'm lucky, it will turn everything on.
I want to use just one remote to turn everything on and then use the DirecTV remote to access the guide and change channels. This should absolutely be possible. The problem is that the Gemini box simply won't remember what I selected for an answer to the prompt.

Settings---system---remotes/devices---program your remote---go all the way to the bottom and toggle off "ask to pair with new tv"

BOTH remotes are programmed. The problem is that it makes no difference as to whether I use the harmony remote or the DirecTV remote and it also makes no difference as to whether I say yes or no to the prompt about using the DirecTV restore to control the TV, the message will not stop coming up!!!!!

At this point, it makes no difference as to wether I use the DirecTV remote or the Harmony remote (both will turn everything on), the Gemini box simply won't remember the answer I select.
Select no - I don't use the remote to control the TV. I turn everything off with the DirecTV remote and back on again with the same remote - prompt: do you use this remote to control the TV yes/no.
Answer yes, and the remote pairs only for the prompt to come back next time everything is turned on again. Remote was already paired upon initial setup plus I already unpaired the remote and paired it again, but still the same thing every single time.
Not sure why this particular issue needs to be further discussed via private note.

Those native apps for Smart TVs are junk with the service. You need to use an external streaming device.

If you're using a DirecTV Stream box connected to your Sony Bravia TV, then you should have that option on the Stream's settings.
