Changing IP addresses

My home internet is through T-Mobile Home Internet.  I’m using DIRECTV Stream through that service. But, as is common with all cellular services, my IP address changes periodically. That isn’t a problem for most applications, except for DIRECTV Stream.

When the address changes, it limits my streams thinking that I am away from home. I know that I can reset my ‘home’ IP address, but that is only allowed 4 times a year.

How can I fix this?  I cannot continue if I am going to be limited every day/week/month when my IP address changes due to my internet provider.

You would need to check and see if there is an option to get a static IP address through T-Mobile Internet. Otherwise, as you alluded to, DIRECTV STREAM will continue to fail to determine your home location granted that the IP address changes.

Unless DirecTV Stream changes the way they validate your "home location", there's nothing you can do without getting a static IP address. This can be an issue with other streaming providers, too.

Yes, getting a static IP address is the only solution to resolve this issue.

Thanks
