Apple TV vs Gemini

I’ve been running a 4k Apple TV along side a Gemini on the same TV.   Both are hard wired via Ethernet.    Picture seems better on Apple TV, channels change instantly on the Apple TV (no expanding line while loading) and Apple TV is faster, including the guide loading.   The speed difference is very noticeable.  

Is this the quality of the processors/devices or something I’m missing in the settings?

Too bad there isn’t a remote available for Apple TV with channel  numbers, getting to recording list with one button push, etc.
