App won't work on my TV's
I just purchased Direct TV Choice with AT&T fiber internet yesterday. I downloaded the App and it doesn't work on my TV's. I've got a Fire TV and multiple Fire sticks. It works on my laptop but nothing else. Do I need the box and the Gemini controller first?

What do you mean it does not work? Any errors or messages? Are you a previous satellite subscriber? Using the same credentials for the service? If so, you need to use different credentials for each service. A known issue.

I hate those Smart TV apps. They never seem to work with the service. Do you have another external device to test? It's always best to use external devices.

I have multiple Fire Sticks. No problem for years. Just to clarify, are you a DirecTV Stream subscriber or a DirecTV via Internet subscriber. They are different subscriptions. They both shared the same app.

Any internet. Install what? So you are still on Comcast internet?
So you are paying fees and have a contract? DirecTV via Internet has fees and a contract. DirecTV Stream has no fees or contract.

Thanks. Then you are a DirecTV subscriber and not a DirecTV Stream subscriber. They both share the same app but depending on your subscriptions determine the content. So the next question is are your credentials the same for your AT&T internet account and your streaming account? If so, I recommend that you go to your account for DirecTV and change the credentials for that service. The issues that you have described are as I mentioned previously with using the same credentials. All this took place when they combined are the services into one and supported Roku and Fire Sticks with DirecTV.

New credentials I just set up yesterday. I get the channel guide but I cant tune it in. For MLB it says: Not available to stream to this device. This channel only available to watch at home using the direct TV box.
Other channels it only has restart and bookmark options but now way to actually watch the live program.

The app was downloaded from my Firestick which is hooked up to my LG TV. Same results with my Fire TV. It almost as if its not recognizing my account but I am able to sign in. I tried re-installing the app too....same.
Unfortunately if it doesn't run on gasoline, I usually cant fix it.

The guy is coming out tomorrow to install the Stuff...I'll ask him to take a look. I was assuming that the Direct TV would still work with my current Comcast internet?

Yes, AT&T internet gets installed tomorrow. Still using Comcast until then. I have a 2 year Direct TV contract. I wasn't aware of any other option. Still roughly half the cost of Comcast.
