App for AppleTv is not working

The app on my Apple TV device stopped working a week ago.  I've deleted it; restarted everything multiple times and when I go to the App Store to download it, again, it will not load.  Is anyone else having this issue?  I also called Apple, but ATT is the app developer, so they cannot help.  Is it in the works to fix this app or am I going to have to cancel and use an alternate streaming service?

I finally found the issue.  Apple had a new version of the app for which I needed to accept the terms and conditions!  I had ignored that request by answering 'not now' to the request.  Once I did it, it went directly to the new Directv app and all was well.  Thank you for your help!

We as customers like you have no clue if it is in the works. But, I can bet you that this is most likely an issue with your equipment or connection. What Apple TV model?

Glad to hear it was fixed by an update for the DIRECTV STREAM app. FYI, that update was actually a new version from specifically DIRECTV STREAM and not Apple since DIRECTV STREAM is in charge of the app.

I have Direct TV which I watch through an app via my Apple TV.  The Direct TV app opens up about half the time.  During the bad half of time Direct tV usually opens partially, but the channels I last watched do not show.  If I click on anything/any program, a dark blue blank screen appears.  I can get all other apps to work at this time, but not Direct TV, so it isn't my wifi which is fiber optic cable fed.  I've deleted the Direct TV app and reloaded it three times, but it still fails about half the time.
