AirPod Pairing
I’ve been able to pair my AirPods with my box until today. They are still paired but there is now no option to connect them with what appears to be an update to settings. Help?

The box that came to me when I signed up in the spring of 22. I have 2 boxes connected to TVs. It worked fine yesterday but I have no ability to connect or activate the AirPods. The only options are rename or unpair.
I restarted the box.

Please choose the “Unpair” option, put your AirPods in Bluetooth discoverable mode, and attempt to re-pair with the DIRECTV STREAM box.

I unpaired the repaired and the sound works, now the new problem is you can’t disconnect the AirPods by putting them away - like it worked previously. And there is still no ability to simply connect already paired items. That was an option in the box settings, again, until whatever update came out - to your box. I had to turn off the box/tv to get regular sound back (from the tv speakers). It wasn’t convenient to simply listen thru AirPods anyway. It was several layers of settings to get there, but now it’s worse. Please consider fixing this.
The option to “connect” to paired items, anything Bluetooth, needs to return to the software/settings. At present all you can do to any Bluetooth paired item is rename or unpair. No ability to actually connect to the box activating the paired item.

I’m not seeing a reply so I’ll ask again.
Please add back the ability to “connect” a Bluetooth item to your boxes.
That option was removed due to a software update this week.
Needing to unpair then repair devices every time you want to watch tv is a step back in functionality. Currently the only options are to unpair or rename the device. A third option of “connect” is needed.
I can’t be the only person using in ear listening devices when watching directv stream.

Then where do we go for constructive help for issues? I have noticed there is mostly coming here for help and not getting much.

This is a "forum" not "official support". Members offer experiences and solutions based on our encounters with the service. We can't fix anything. As mentioned, contact support to report issues.
