4k no longer working
I bought a new Samsung TV last year on Super bowl Sunday. At that time I was getting Directv through the satellite dish. I tech came out and gave me a new box to stream 4K. We were able to watch the super bowl in 4K. A few months later I found out that I could save a bunch of money of I switched from getting my service from the dish over to the plug in dongle. Which I did. One i made the switch to the dongle, I no longer am getting the 4K channels. It says this device is not compatible with 4K for channels 104, 105, and 106 even though the box and instructions the dongle came in said it was 4K ready. I called in but no-one seems to know how to fix the issue. The only thing CS rep did was remote restart the dongle twice with no luck of fixing it.

What model "dongle", streaming device? Not all of them support 4K.

Directv sent it to me so I’m not exactly sure the model, but the box and litature said it is 4K ready. Also the CS rep said all of their dongles are 4K ready

DirecTV satellite to get 4K requires having a 3rd generation Genie (HR54) or Genie-2 (HS17), with a 4K Client on the 4K TV, either Mini Genie (C61K) or the newer Gemini (C71KW).
DIRECTV STREAM (bring your own device) or DirecTV via Internet (DirecTV provides equipment, bill is very similar to having satellite with certain charges) has a different firmware version of the Gemini, but also the Gemini Air which is the dongle version which isn't available to satellite customers.
Since you got it from DirecTV, I take it you got the Gemini Air with 24 month agreement and are on the DirecTV via Internet service.
