No. Channels are package to TV providers which in turn must package them to us. The only DirecTV package that doesn't carry them is Family. Otherwise, just set your favorites list to hide channels you don't watch.

You can set favorites list on both satellite or stream. Or its as easy as you don't have to see them or tune into them if you don't want to, but best case just setup a favorites list.

@Scorkren

Like most on the forum, I am another customer. Got help a long time ago and started participating more and more. So I share my experience and knowledge in order to help others. Sometimes that is just providing a realistic perspective or another valid point of view, even if not the answer one wishes for.

As for providing assistance ("carrying water" as you say), well that is for other customers. Some times I am in opposition of AT&T/DirecTV and post as such.

All I did was provide factual information to answer the OP's question. Providing the needed answer shouldn't ruffle anybody's feathers.

Thank you for cancelling AON (Edited per community guidelines) channel.  You did this country a favor.

@juniper You provided this answer on each and every post.  We get it. You do not think this is a problem. The numerous people you are replying to think it does matter!

 Thinking Ludwick would call it a lie. If you are also on reddeit he is there under a different screener.

The OP asked if there was a way to remove a specific channel. I advised there wasn't so could only hide it or change to a package that doesn't have it.

That is a factual answer that has nothing to do with the OANN situation. The answer to the OP doesn't change because you are upset about OANN.

@TraciB7763 Be careful what you ask for as there are probably large numbers of people who wish CNN or MSNBC were removed.  The better solution is, if you don’t like the channel, change it and watch something else.

We are in scary times… soon there will be two internets due to divisiveness.  OAN should never have been canceled without statistics showing it was not viewed or cost too much… the people on the left will pay for attacking free speech and press.

If you dont like a channel Dont watch it. Just because you do not agree with any side of an issue does not mean others agree with your view point. This is still The United States of America even though it may seem to be becoming more like the Socialist Democrat Peoples Nation. It is not. The vast majority of the American people do not agree with your point of view. So learn that if you are so accepting of others, accept that most American's do not agree with you.

If you dont like a channel, dont watch it. You are not the guardian of the people's thoughts. You are only the guardian of your one personal likes and dislikes and know we the people dont care if you like it or not.
