Direct Tv is Anti-Free Speech and Anti-American for cancelling Newsmax. I hope you lose all of your subscribers!

DirecTV was told by Newsmax to remove their programing from the lineup, because they couldn't come to an agreement for a new contract between the two of them. It has nothing to do with free speech, and is strictly as a result of a failed contract negotiation.

This is a public forum of other customers, We are no more DirecTV than you.

Newsmax wanted cost it didn't have before that DirecTV is unwilling to pay. DirecTV's stance is they are willing to listen if Newsmax comes back with a better offer, but is not going to chase the channel down. The ball is in Newsmax's court if they want to start up negotiations again. https://www.directv.com/tvpromise/ 

And remember, no TV provider must have or not any given channel. They are not our rights as they are simply an entertainment business. If you cannot live day by day without the channel then you will have to watch it somewhere else.

Closed my account today.  No Newsmax for me, no $128/month for Directv.

I can't see how anyone can say cancelling Newsmax was not Directv playing politics, especially after they cancelled One America News 9 months ago.  This leaves over 20 liberal news channels, but only one channel for the entire other half of America.

If there are 20 liberal channels, there should be 20 conservative channels; and if there is only 1 conservative channel, Directv should cancel 19 liberal channels.

Newsmax was channel owner wanted a much different deal than previously. So normal carrriage negotiations.

Those agreements came up within a year of each other. Unfortunately some customers just assume that makes it political as feeds their hatred and demands. I stand by that Newsmax was not political.
