Newsmax
I am writing to voice my concern and disgust with Directv and ATT for deleting Newsmax from the channel lineup. No prior notice was given nor official reasoning behind what appears to be blatant censorship of conservative newscasting. I have watched liberal news outlets such as CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS and find the same if not more biased reporting including the nonreporting of issues and events that are clearly newsworthy but not flattering to liberal thought and agendas. If silencing conservative thought and speech is the motivation behind the dropping of Newsmax I find this dangerous to our American way of life. I have contacted Congressmen and Senators in my district concerning this matter. There are things on some Directv channels that I find offensive and vulgar. Those channels I self-block with parental controls and by selecting channels I do not wish even accidentally to bring up. If some of your customers don't like Newsmax content they can do the same, all of which is within my rights and theirs. But for the provider to decide what I am able to watch or not based on political motivation is highly unacceptable and unless Newsmax is restored to the lineup I will be exploring other options for TV programing providers after being a loyal subscriber for around 40 years.

Actually, the dangerous thing is when channels like NewsMax spread lies related to elections.
So you may cancel DirecTV even though you hate cancel culture AND you can watch for free via their website? You do you.

Yeah, this is complete (Edited per community guidelines). What a coincidence...First OAN, now Newsmax. I'll be on the lookout to replace my DirectStream.

I agree Newsmax gets less fees from AT&T than other news channels with less viewers than Newsmax. Xfinity/Comcast who I left to go to AT&T has Newsmax so I will be switching back. AT&T could have cancelled another news channel (who has less viewers) that they are paying more fees than Newsmax without raising any of our customer fees, this is a very bad decision by AT&T and as a customer I will be moving back to Xfinity/Comcast.

I see DIRECTV is still offering so-called "news channels" like CNN and MSNBC which both promoted the fake Russia collusion and other unsubstantiated Leftist narratives targeting conservative audiences. Congressional Democrats had demanded Newsmax and AON to be removed from DIRECTV, and of course the Leftists at DIRECTV caved to those demands. Very disappointing.

I am going to reiterate my contribution to this community in an effort to inspire some of the contributors who want to accuse Newsmax of disinformation. Can you give an example or are you only retelling what someone else told you? If I tell you I don't listen to the other channels, I can give you specific reasons why and document my position.
I have been a customer of ATT for a long, long time. I don't agree with your company's efforts to doorstop opinions. Why would ATT want to succumb to the will of a group that is afraid of dialogue and the testing of differing views and opinions? I can't think of a reason to continue to do business with a company that does not support the free flow of ideas and opinions. Your inability to practice fairness with your customers, all while claiming to be a reliable utility, will likely prove to be the beginning of a quick and dangerous decent of this telecommunications company. Time will tell. Consider how the viewership of legacy media has changed since a vast portion of the population learned of the media's dishonesty. Why would you want to follow in their footsteps? Please reconsider your position and put your customers first. Don't allow mob-think to take over your company. WE do have options and wouldn't you like to be our best choice? I love Newsmax and the absence of this network would not cause me to switch back to the less than honest alternatives. What do you think, ATT?
