‘We’ aren’t losing any customers. This is a public forum and I am a customer like you. No actual DIRECTV employees go on here other than the ones with ‘employee’ tags.

The reasoning for OANN takedown was on DIRECTV. That goes way back a year now and is considered irrelevant. If you are still subscribed to DTV and enjoyed OANN I’m sure you found an alternate way to watch it. If not, then it’s safe to assume you prefer NEWSMAX over OANN.

Nevertheless, NEWSMAX’s feed was taken down last night midnight because DIRECTV wasn’t willing to pay the carriage fee NEWSMAX was asking for. In the past, this fee wasn’t applicable and all of a sudden newsmax expected it. DIRECTV’s argument is that NEWSMAX can be enjoyed free of charge on many streaming devices and tablets/phones with their independent NEWSMAX app. Thus, DIRECTV doesn’t find the need to pay for something and pass the fee onto the subscribed when these are available free of charge.

They stand...I mean kneel to block the truth FOR the gov't.

Time to find a new provider.

@Iwant_Newsmax That is unacceptable and a violation of forum rules to accuse anyone of lying. You can be removed from the forum for such a violation. Just because you don’t believe that “talking point” doesn’t make it is a lie. Directv’s unwillingness to pay a carriage fee has been independently reported and verified by actual news organizations, so it’s not just a talking point, it’s a fact.

if you let something that occurred more than a year ago still bother you then something is up

Move forward, we only live one life. And I’m absolutely sure that life doesn’t need anyone turning on their TV every five seconds to check OANN or CNN, doesn’t matter.

At the end of the day, it IS IRRELEVANT. Move forward and find a different way to watch the channel. Cancel directv and find whatever provider you want. Complaining here does you no good..

detch254 I never said it bothers me.  I wasn't complaining, just making a statement.  But many see a pattern here.  Actions speak louder than words.
