No one here knows as we are customers just like you. Hopefully, they come to an agreement soon. That’s all we can predict right now.

Newsmax is one of a half dozen channels worth watching. If it's not restored, why have directTV?

Why have Directv then? Cancel if it doesn’t offer the channels you want. No one is stopping you..

Direct has ruined my daily routine.  I always watch Newsmax in the day. Not going to pay the ridiculous charge that direct charges and not got the one conservative channel. It is 4th watched news channel.  If you need to save money get rid of channels like CNN or fox or several of the less watched channels. Stop sensoring conservatives.

This is 2nd channel which I watch that has been cancelled from my original subscription about a year & a half ago. What am I paying for exactly???

Apparently bcbsncjlj likes to troll people on here with unproductive comments. You have all kinds of badges and award things going on but on here promoting streaming services. I'm sure DirecTV appreciates you advertising an alternative source of viewings. Maybe you'll get another badge...? 

Closed my account today.  I believe I've been a Directv customer for over 20 years, but cancelling Newsmax ended it.

Seems unlikely and I doubt it's coming back. Be prepared to move on if it doesn't.

Many commenters on this forum with so-called "awards" and thousands of messages to their name encourage existing Directv customers to go elsewhere, instead of using a less offensive approach like "still in negotiations". They are quick to note they're not Directv employees while they advertise various Directv phone numbers. Thousands of responses each from the same people who defend Directv's version of the situation at all costs and admit they're not part of the negotiations. They may not be an actual Directv employee, but they're getting something out of this.

If you really want to watch the channel then of course you need to go elsewhere. That is the reality, no matter how much you find it "offensive". You may prefer "still in negotiations" but that would be false. DirecTV has left the door open for Newsmax to start up negotiations again, but otherwise negotiations have halted.

I like other ACEs are experienced customers who have been recognized for helping others and providing accurate info (even if it is not what one wishes to hear). We are not employees. I include the support numbers in my posts so that if someone does need official help, they can do so through the correct method.

And I get satisifcation from discussing in any thread I participate in. Preferably that is helping someone find a resolution or get some clarity, but not everyone can be satisifed. I don't need to "get something" beyond that. I got helped many years ago in the forum and found myself on it more and more over time so here I am.

I am rather straight forward and blunt in my posts which I make no apologies for. However you like a few are searching for something that isn't there.
