Cancelling, no. But they are negotiating a new carriage agreement.

If agreement is not reached by deadline, then Newsmax might pull the feed in the meantime. Just waiting to see what happens.

We lost AOL, now will we lose Newsmax?  That would only leave Fox on the right side of politics.  We need more diversity of views.  Please keep Newsmax !

@garrettriegg

We lost AOL,

You lost your internet service provider? (America Online)

Perhaps you mean One America News Network (OANN). If so, DirecTV decided not to renew that agreement which they announced months in advance. With Newsmax, they have been negotiating but agreement was not reached by the deadline. Usually negotiations continue, but channel owner (Newsmax in this case) doesn't return the feed until it is hashed out.

Newmax says they’re being dropped.  “Negotiating an agreement” is just the means to get it done. I’ll be voting with my wallet and will drop Directv and my AT&T accounts.

DirecTV canceled Newsmax and also just raised their monthly rate, so now I will be cancelling my DirecTV subscription.  Others should do the same.  You can still watch Newsmax on Sling or Fubo.
