You already took o a n that (Edited per community guidelines) me off enough now you're aiming at Newsmax I guess next will be Fox I will be canceling my 25-year subscription and will be urging my large family to do the same
We are not doing anything with Newsmax. This is a public forum of other customers.
If DirecTV chooses not to pay the requested fees that Newsmax wants going forward, and you cannot live without the channel, then call and close your account at that time.
It doesn't matter if you've had the account 10 years or 25 years. If the channels you want are not available, then it is up to you to go somewhere else. DirecTV has no requirement to always carry any given channel.
Newsmax wants to add costs that DirecTV disagrees with. It is DirecTV's right if they choose not to renew the agreement over this.
Juniper---Thought you said "We are not doing anything with Newsmax."
Should have read my entire post. I said "We are not doing anything with Newsmax. This is a public forum of other customers." So correct, we are not doing anything with Newsmax any more than you are. We are customers like you.
They were cancelled last night.
They were not "canceled". The agreement deadline came up. Since a new one has not yet been reached, Newsmax is not obligated to provide the feed (which is their right).
Right now we are waiting on clarification if negotiations have just stalled (most likely as how negotiations usually work in this situation, and feed returned whenever new agreement hashed out), or if Newsmax is fully gone.
Once that is figured out, you can decide if you want to be patient through continued negotiations (if there are any) or move on.

Have to wait to see what happens.

I can't believe you are cancelling Newsmax. You have 22 Liberal news shows, and you have already cancelled OAN.
Like others, I will be canceling my Direct TV account.
