Newsmax quietly added back to DTV
I find it very interesting how this was NOT communicated to the subscribers. Should have at least gotten an email from DTV after all the drama. I heard it from Trump during his Waco, TX rally.

An email may have been beneficial for some, but we can only guess directv did not feel the need to do so because they didn’t see it as important. They just assume those who are loyal NewsMax watchers understand that Newsmax will announce its return to directv.

It was announced by different news sources and because of this Directv most likely felt they did not need to announce it. But it was announced here in the forum the day before they added it back to the channel lineup. Just be happy that the channel is even back they have had longer negotiations than this one.

Plenty of notice from outside sources. So there was no need for DirecTV to announce to their entire customer base. Plus why flood emails to everyone when many either don't care or even don't like it.
And yes in this case I refer to both DirecTV and DIRECTV STREAM before you have issues (again) with finding a statement too broad.

I find it very ironic that on March 28 I just happened to receive an email from DTV that Newsmax is back. Wonder if anyone else got one??

No email, but that is fine. You have the channel back (at least until the next carriage agreement).
Now that channel negotiations have finished perhaps those who fell apart without the channel can take off their politial conspiracy hats.

Juni, were you replying to my first or second post? I said in the second post I did end up getting an email (but it was 5 days after my first post). I typically receive emails from DTV when there are channel updates or they want me to enjoy freebee viewing or want me to upgrade. And I didn't say anything political either. You assume I fell apart? I'm quite the opposite. Some of you ACE guys are very sarcastic! You must get extra points for that.

You were wondering if anyone else got an email on this. I answerd that with that I did not. Sorry thought that was straightforward.
I did not say you fell apart. I was referring to the mass of others who acted as if their sole lifeline was taken away. Nothing was sarcastic, just a comment and observation regarding other common posts. There are no 'points' (extra or otherwise) that you allude to.

That's the problem with email, text, online comments, etc. A person cannot always tell the tone of what someone types. That's why an in person convo is and will always be better since you can hear the voice and/or see the facial expression.

I agree that text in electronic communication does poorly on conveying anything close to the correct one. That is why I endeavor to say what I mean and do my upmost to avoid sarcasm or other comments and instead be a straightforward as I can.
