Newsmax censorship

Appears that DTV and Newsmax didn't reach an agreement by the contract deadline so Newsmax removed their feed to DTV.  Most contracts expire at midnight.

100% political.    DirectTV pays far higher fees to a bunch of liberal channels with much lower ratings.  lol  It's likely a case of a couple suits in the corner office making a decision based on their own political leanings or maybe the FBI or Biden told them to... 

It's nothing but liberal politics and yes we will vote with our dollars and spend it elsewhere. Go bye leftist censorship 

This is political! When direct tv pays liberal news channels (with many less average viewers) more money than Newsmax, then it is political! It is their right, but anyone can see that this is deplatforming or you just don't want to see it!

Since it is very hard to figure out where to make directv  aware of disgruntled customers I am posting here. I will follow with a phone call. Directv pays cable license fees to all top 75 cable channels and to all 22 liberal news channels. These channels are paid hefty license fees significantly more than newsmax is seeking, despite lower ratings than newsmax. This is blatant act of political discrimination and censorship against newsmax. 

Directv falsely claimed that newsmax is asking for a fee but still wants to keep a free stream platform. This is false, no operator pays a fee while newsmax streams free and directv was fully aware the free stream will end this year.

@Daniel_Gordon  I got offered $30 on chat, then got a call from the guy on chat who asked me to delete my pages as he needed to "refresh his system" who then transferred to retention... and she offered $10.  I told her about the $30 and she said she couldn't do that.  Kinda cold.  Now I know why the first guy wanted me to delete my chat windows.  I went ahead with the cancellation.

Just switched to DIRECT TV, had I known you they were taking off NEWSMAX I would have never done it....I am switching back

Leftists don't even pay for DirecTV,  we watch TikTok and Netflix. Newsmax is blatant fake news. "Real news" is still propaganda feeding lies liberals want to hear. Leftists don't watch the news, we watch tiktoks because that's where the real news is. CNN, Fox News, Newsmax, OANN; they're all controlled by the elite ruling class and they just want you to whine for nothing instead of actually doing something about the state of the United States. Maybe stop watching the news and enjoy life instead.

Newsmax is streaming free via Newsmaxtv, YouTube, roku, and many free platforms. DirecTV wouldn't agree to pay for a channel that is free.

FYI, Newsmax went off the air of both DirecTV and Dish Network in 2016 regarding the same pricing negotiations... Only to resign to both in 2017. It would be great to see Newsmax and DirecTV continue a relationship in less than a year.

DirectTV is absolutely leftist.   Read the OAN complaint filed in California Supreme Court against DIRECTV.  They replaced OAN with woke television channels focused on dividing and labeling America. 

it all started with Media Matters and extreme left members of congress.     Does not help with Board Chair is a part of the left authoritarian regime.

We all predicted Newsmax would be canceled a year ago which is why many of us boycotted DIRECTV after OAN was cancelled.  Note the same company gives CNN a better deal than everyone else…. Chalking up NewsMAX to ‘failed negotiations’ is a big lie.
