Newsmax and OAN
Very disappointed. I am forced to pay a sports fee monthly to which we do not watch any sports channels at all. Have called about this multiple times and told the same thing that everyone has to pay it. Then you remove OAN and now Newsmax. You should not choose what we watch. We should. Take my monthly sports fee and use it for Newsmax. I do not watch the sports channels. Fiber is coming to my area right now. As soon as it is hooked up and available I am out. Free choice to watch what I want. Maybe you should discount my bill since you are taking away my channels without my permission. I have paid for my package a long time and now you are removing channels that you want to from it. Discount my bill for the cancellation of my channels.

I have seen if you call in and talk with customer service I have seen that some people have received discounts because they took Newsmax away but you would have to talk with customer service(Phone # below).

Choice package or higher results in Sports Fee, Entertainment package does not. DirecTV as part of their Customer Agreement reads that due to contract negotiations, carriage fees, and broadcast company demands, may add/remove channels at anytime.
DirecTV is a subscribed to 100s of Broadcasting companies, all with different pocketbooks. DirecTV's goal is to provide as much TV with as minimal price changes as possible. Likewise Newsmax is free, Roku, YouTube, NewsMaxTV are all streaming it Live 24/7 but Newsmax will go "paid-subscription" based in the next coming months.

Unfortunately we live in the country and do not have a reliable internet service provider. So streaming does not work for us. I do have the option of purchasing a tower for $2,000.00. Crazy!!!! Fiber is going in on our roads. Hopefully it will be completed soon.
I understand they can add and remove as they wish but that still does not make it right to charge for one and not the other or take these down but those are still up.
