Landlord Accusing of Install
My landlord is accusing me of having an old Directv satellite installed on our rental home that was already there when we moved in. How can I get proof of the install date on this???

Sorry you can't - You can remove the dish -all but the foot plate as removing that would cause the roof to leak. best you can do is deny or show proof you have never had DTV at your current address.

Yeah that isn't going to be good enough, they're accusing me of causing a roof leak with this and are trying to make me pay for this. Directv has to be able to prove that I didn't install this dish....

No DTV Doesn't You do --if you have no DTV account at your current Address (using your Bank Records) That should be proof enough and easy for you to show

You won't get any support from DirecTV on this. Many of their installers are independent contractors, so DirecTV wouldn't have any record of that installation. Your best bet would be to show your landlord a photo of the home when you moved in that shows the satellite dish. Good luck.

I figured I wouldn't get support from them, part of the reason I'm not a customer lol....I had them years and years ago and cringe at the thought of it
