Well DIRECTV has the Family package and it’s a very skinny bundle with local channels as well as a couple regular pay channels. It’s a good match for someone who isn’t too much for cable and wants a skinny bundle of channels. You can call DIRECTV at +1 (800) 531-5000 for more information on the Family Package and how you can switch. Going to the website will not allow you to switch to it since it’s technically a DISCONTINUED package that only existing customers with that package already from the beginning can continue to enjoy.
Shame on Directv! Low income people that live in apartments that restrict there people to no antennas or satellite dishes only have few options for basic local channels and none free to very low income persons! TV is sometimes their only entertainment and news?! Shame!
Your apartment cannot legally restrict you from putting up an outdoor antenna or satellite dish as long as it is under your control on a balcony, patio, etc.
Also known as FCC Order 98-273 or the FCC Satellite Rule, this law states that landlords cannot ban satellite dishes from a rental property.
