Dropping Newsmax

Why are you dropping Newsmax? You already dropped AON. We watch Newsmax and if you drop them, we will take our business to another provider.

You should not let your political leanings interfere with what channels you offer. That is censorship, and is wrong. Are you willing to lose customers because of your political censorship?

We will also be cancelling our DirectTv if Newsmax is removed from our service.

I am seriously one upset customer. Direct TV I am not buying the pathetic excuse you are giving for canceling Newsmax.  I am done!

At the moment, Newsmax is not fully "canceled". Deadline for a new agreement was reached, and so feed was pulled as negotiations did not yet succeed. With negotiations continuing, it could be back by end of day or later this week (hopefully doesn't become one of the rare very long negotiations).

That is how it is until it is confirmed from both sides that it will not be back. As long there is still "cry out" to contact DirecTV and voice opinion on that matter, that says it is not a permanent parting of ways but normal negotiating tactics when they don't get what they want.
