DirecTV&AT&T

My thoughts on AT&T DirecTV's removal of "Newsmax" & "Oann": DirecTV's 2nd step goal was removing "Newsmax". Dem's, Liberals, Corporations & Globalists next want FOX News to CONFORM or be REMOVED from providers. We'll then be controlled by a TOTAL U.S.S.R. type media. BEWARE!!!

Last year the parting with OAN was solid. They announced to us customer months ahead of time the carriage agreement would not be renewed. No attempt at negotiations.

This year, they have been negotiating with Newsmax. Since a new agreement wasn't hashed out, Newsmax (as is their right) pulled the feed. DirecTV's stance has been they remain open to negotiations, but with leaving that door open it is up to Newsmax to walk through it if they want to continue talks.

TV providers may choose to negotiate or not with networks that they decide on. Nothing requires them to have an particular channel or to be forced to accept the channel's offer.

If you don't like the viewing options, then you go with another TV provider that has the channels you want. Both you and the TV providers have freedoms that I suspect would not be allowed in the old U.S.S.R.

Also, AT&T and DirecTV are now 2 different companies. Been that way for a year. No reason to even bring the name of AT&T into the discussion.

And too many people can only see red vs blue, dem vs rep, U.S.A. vs U.S.S.R and just jump on the bandwagon so they can be riled up instead of realizing there is more to TV watching then politics. And if you're not one of the 'popular' two sides (that too many are sheeped into either one), it can make their head explode (syntax error, press play on tape).

DIRECTV REMAINS INTERESTED IN BRINGING NEWSMAX BACK

DIRECTV aims to deliver the best, widest range of news, sports, and entertainment programming at a fair price. We regularly engage in negotiations with content providers and work hard to protect our customers from unfair price inflation.

Our differences with Newsmax are economic, not political or ideological. Newsmax made unreasonable demands that would force DIRECTV customers to fund the network’s shift from a free nationwide streaming service to one that will require a pay TV subscription. Since we would not agree to Newsmax’s demand to pay them tens of millions of dollars in licensing fees, DIRECTV was no longer permitted by Newsmax to air its content.

DIRECTV is disappointed by Newsmax’s position. We prefer Newsmax had never left and remain interested in bringing Newsmax back under the right financial terms.
